このあたりの記事を見ると、bitcoindのcpu使用率を10%に抑えるのが良さそうなので、以下のコマンドで試してみて様子見てみます。

cpulimit -l 10 bitcoind

このコマンドでbitcoindのプロセスも立ち上がります。
